Things to do in New York City in the Fall

Fall is quickly approaching and you can already feel the drop in temperatures as the summer winds down. New York City is a great place to be during the fall, the weather is pleasant although it can be cold on some days. It?s also a wonderful time to explore some cool events around the city. Here are a few things to do in New York City in the fall to add to your bucket list:

 

Greenwich Village Halloween Parade

Every Halloween, revelers dress up in their costumes and make their way through Greenwich Village village as part of the Halloween Parade. It's here that you would find some really impressive costumes and see the creativity of local costume designers.

Farm pumpkin picking

Farming is definitely not what you think about when you hear New York City but what most people don't know is that the Queens County Farm Museum is a working farm. It's one of the best places to go to pick pumpkins during the fall and in addition to getting pumpkins you can feed the animals, play on several different rides and check out all the crops being harvested. There are also always food trucks in the area.

Atlantic Antic

During the fall the biggest street festival in NYC goes down in Brooklyn on Atlantic Ave. It runs through several neighborhoods and is known for everything from delicious food to good live music on the different stages throughout the festival.

Visit Central Park

Central Park is gorgeous during the fall with the gorgeous foliage and golden hues. It?s a great time to get take photos as to explore the park as it?s usually quiet and less crowded than it is during the summer.
