The Toyota RAV4 has always been a stylish and capable SUV, but the all-new RAV4 TRD Off-Road will enable you to take your adventures even farther off the beaten track. Here are some of the features that make it a great choice for your adventurous lifestyle.

Exterior Styling

With its rugged front styling, aggressive grille design, sleek profile, and sporty rear, the TRD Off-Road creates a dominant road presence wherever you go. The front end features a unique grille with active shutters, automatic chrome-trimmed multi-LED headlamps, distinctive daytime running lights, and black-trimmed LED fog lights.

The body is styled with unique badging, flared black overfenders above matte black 18-inch six-spoke alloy wheels with all-terrain tires, black heated power side mirrors with turn signals, body-color door handles with touch-sensor unlocking, a power moonroof, black painted roof rails, rear privacy glass, LED taillights, and dual chrome exhaust tips. For convenient access to the spacious cargo area, the RAV4 has a hands-free foot-activated power liftgate.

Drivetrain

Under the hood of the TRD Off-Road is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque to the all-wheel-drive system. It’s paired with a direct shift electronically controlled eight-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift mode.

Performance

The powerful engine gives you the pull you need while returning up to 25 mpg in the city and 32 mpg for highway driving. When you need to haul a trailer, the RAV4 TRD Off-Road has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds when properly equipped. When you’re traversing rough terrain, the TRD’s retuned suspension with enhanced rebound control helps smooth out even the biggest bumps.

With its higher 8.6-inch ground clearance, downhill assist control, and multi-terrain select with modes for mud and sand, rock and dirt, snow, and normal terrain, you can be confident that you’ll have the optimum traction for the conditions. The dynamic torque vectoring all-wheel drive with rear driveline disconnect sends power to the wheels that need it the most. For improved fuel economy, power only goes to the front wheels when AWD isn’t needed.

Interior Features

The unique styling of the TRD Off-Road is continued in the contemporary cabin. Black trim with red accents on the seats, doors, and dash give it a sporty appearance. It offers simulated leather-trimmed upholstery, an eight-way power-adjustable driving seat, and 60/40-split reclining fold-flat rear seats. Behind the rear seats, you have 37.6 cubic feet of cargo space, which increases to 69.8 cubic feet with the second row folded.

Interior features include push-button start, digital instrumentation and a 7-inch customizable multi-information display, dual-zone climate control, a leather-bound tilting and telescoping steering wheel, and a 120-volt power outlet.

The infotainment system has an 8-inch touch screen, smartphone integration, a Wi-Fi hot spot, voice recognition, Bluetooth, and six-speaker audio. The standard Toyota Safety Sense offers a full range of driver-assistance features to help keep you safe on the road.
