Famous Food Festival “Taste the World”

The Taste the World Event is scheduled for July 14-15, 2018, at Tanger Outlets in Deer Park. For just $5, attendees will get the opportunity to taste the best culinary dishes on Long Island. There are over 45 food vendors signed up for the event and plenty of other entertainment attractions planned. There will be live musical performances, a beer and wine garden, and a live chef sharing culinary tips with the public. Guests can upgrade to the VIP ticket for $50, which includes a festival T-shirt, swag bag, and private bar area.

Lazy Days of Summer

The Lazy Days of Summer festival is the perfect way to celebrate the relaxing vibe of the Long Island summer season. The event is planned for July 14, 2018, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the East Village Green. This family-friendly event will also celebrate the 70th year of Levittown and its 20th year of the festival with picnic foods, a petting zoo, and pony rides. Attendees can also bring along a chair or blanket and enjoy the live music.

Sayville Summerfest 2018

The Sayville Summerfest is scheduled from August 10- August 12, at Gillette Park in Sayville. Admission is free and guests can expect plenty of summer-inspired entertainment, including over 200 art exhibits, food vendors of many different cuisines, and live music performances. There will also be carnival rides available for a small fee. There are special events planned throughout the weekend with a four-mile run on Saturday, August 11 and a Classic Car show on Sunday, August 12.

Greek Festival

The Long Island Greek Festival will take place from August 16 to August 19, 2018, at the Panaghia of Island Park Greek Orthodox Church in Island Park. The free event celebrates Greek cuisine, culture, and music. There will also be live orchestra performances and dance celebrations throughout the weekend. Families will enjoy the amusement rides, carnival games, and flea market shopping. There is free shuttle bus transportation available to the festival.

Alive After Five

The Alive After Five event takes place on five previously scheduled evenings throughout the summer. The remaining events are planned for July 19, August 2, and August 16 starting at 5:00 p.m. on the Main Street Patchogue. This free summer event features over 90 vendors, local food trucks, auction events, and six stages of live music. Bring along the children as there are also child-friendly arts, crafts, and performances. Parking can get crowded, but there is a free shuttle which leaves from St. Joseph’s College continually during the event.

There are many exciting summer festivals planned on Long Island this summer. Most of them are free, family-friendly, and offer exciting live entertainment and delicious foods.
