A prototype of the 2020 Toyota Corolla. If you’re thinking about purchasing a new car, know that Toyota has some exciting changes in store for its popular Corolla model. The 2020 Corolla, available Spring 2019, is expected to receive a fresh design makeover. These are some of the changes coming.

Exterior Design

While the current Corolla has a compact and boxy appearance, the 2020 model will be lower and leaner for a more athletic look. This new look will be accented by powerful fender flares and curved fender top surfaces. The design crew aimed for a robust, more confident stance that maintains the practicality that people look for in a sedan.

Wheelbase

Like the current Corolla, the 2020 model will ride on a 106.3-inch wheelbase. Unlike the current Corolla, however, the 2020 model will have wider front and rear track dimensions. The 2020 Corolla’s front overhang has been shortened, while the rear overhang has been extended. The hood has been lowered for better visibility. These changes not only give the 2020 model a sleeker appearance than previous models, but they also make the Corolla a nimbler vehicle to drive.

Front End Details

The 2020 Corolla front end design will feature details not available with the current model. The SE and XSE trim levels will come equipped with a body-color chin spoiler and aero stabilizing fins, enhancing the new robust stance. Slimmer J-shaped Bi-Beam LED headlamps will give the new Corolla a distinctive look even when the lights are turned off. Smoked outer light lenses will be available on the SE and XSE trims.

Exterior Colors

The 2020 Corolla will be available in classic Corolla colors, including Blizzard Pearl, Super White, Classic Silver Metallic, Black Sand Pearl, Barcelona Red, Blue Crush Metallic, and Blueprint. However, to highlight the 2020’s new sheet metal frame, Toyota is introducing a brand new color: Celestite Grey Metallic. The highly iridescent new hue is sure to make your new Corolla stand out from other vehicles on the road.

Wheels

For the first time ever, 18-inch wheels will be available on the Toyota Corolla. These will come standard on the SE and XSE trims. The LE version will come equipped with 16-inch steel wheels with covers. New 16-inch alloy wheels with three-dimensional twisted spokes are one of the many highlights of the XLE grade.

Interior Design

The 2020 Corolla’s fresh new look is not limited to the exterior. The interior was designed with a sportier, more elegant look in mind, while still providing the comfort and durability that the Corolla is known for. The slimmer instrument panel provides a more open and airier atmosphere than previous models. High gloss materials add to the 2020’s premium look and feel. Available ambient lighting makes the new Corolla even warmer and more inviting.

These are just some of the changes that Toyota has planned for the 2020 Corolla. While the 2020 model won’t be available until Spring 2019, the current model is still a great choice if you’re looking for a stylish and reliable vehicle. Take a test drive today!
