Monster Mini Golf

Turn a game of mini golf into an experience at Monster Mini Golf. This facility is a state-of-the-art indoor mini-golf course complete with monster attractions. The 18-hole course features monster-themed decor and animated monsters along the way, and the whole course runs under black lights, so everything is illuminated. Once you finish playing a round of golf, there is also a gaming arcade complete with lots of prizes. Bring the kids for an afternoon of fun on a rainy day or host a birthday party in one of the private event rooms.

Long Island Children’s Museum

The Long Island Children’s Museum in Garden City has tons of interactive exhibits for the kids where they can explore and learn. Children age 10 and under will love playing in the instrument room, using the giant wands to make a room filled with bubbles, or they can go into the climbing sculpture where they can safely climb and play until they wear themselves out. The TotSpot offers a place for the younger kids to play, and the Tool Box has lots of tools for the kids to examine and try. General admission tickets are just $14 or you can become a member and visit as many times as you want.

The American Airpower Museum

Take a ride to the American Airpower Museum and let the kids see the historic aircraft up close. This museum is exciting for both adults and kids. Veterans volunteer at the facility and will take everyone through on a guided tour and give you an interesting history lesson. Throughout the tour, you’ll learn about the planes and the pilots who flew them during World War II. The kids can even get up into the cockpits to see all the controls. The museum also features artifacts and exhibits, and since it sits right behind Republic Airport, you’ll probably see some planes taking off and coming in.

Argyle Park

The whole family can enjoy a day outside at Argyle Park. There are walking trails to explore that wind around the lake and many different species of aquatic birds to see. The kids can head to the swings while you sit on the benches to relax, or you can pack up a picnic lunch and just sit outside on a beautiful spring day. Make sure to bring a fishing pole for the kids if they want to try catching a fish in Argyle Lake.
