We drive our cars almost every day. Commuting, grocery store runs, out to dinner, over to mom’s, and up to the cabin for the weekend. That’s why it’s so important to pick a vehicle that makes all those things easier, more comfortable, and safer. Here’s a look at some of the best convenience features on Toyota models today.

Power Tilt/Slide Moon Roof

Most Toyota models offer this option but the 2019 Camry feels great driving down the road with the moon roof open, and the wind in your hair. It doesn’t get much better than this. Unless of course you’re settled into the Camry’s available Cockpit Red leather-trimmed interior. Style and comfort blended to perfection.

Paddle Shifters

For the racing enthusiast, paddle shifters not only make driving more convenient; they make it more fun. There is nothing quite as exhilarating as down-shifting into the turn, then up-shifting as you rocket through and out, just like an Indy car driver.

The RAV4 is one Toyota model that features paddle shifters. Toyota’s 8-speed Electronically Controlled Automatic Transmission with intelligence (ECT-i) packages the sequential shift mode with paddle shifters, giving you control at your fingertips.

Total Safety Sense

Toyota offers Total Safety Sense P (TSS-P), a suite of safety features, as standard equipment on almost every model. These innovative safety features are designed to keep you safer on the roads.

A Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS-PD) integrates radar and camera to help reduce the risk of collision with the vehicle in front of a crossing pedestrian. The PCS-PD detects a potential collision and first alerts you with audio and visual cues. If the system detects that you are applying the breaks, it can help with the Brake Assist (BA) system, applying additional pressure to help avoid or mitigate the severity of an imminent collision.

Toyota’s Lane Departure Alert (LDA) system helps keep you in your lane. When you reach speeds higher than 32 mph the LDA begins sensing lane markers. If you drift the system alerts you allowing you to take corrective action before you go too far.

Vehicles equipped with TSS-P and Electronic Steering come standard with Steering Assist (SA). The SA system will help auto-correct your steering to keep you in your lane if the LDA alerts you and you fail to take corrective action. Vehicles equipped with these features include the Carolla, RAV4, Highlander, Prius, Avalon, Camry, and more.

Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) uses radar and video to measure your distance to the vehicle in front and automatically adjusts your speed to maintain a preset distance. Lane Tracing Assist works with DRCC to keep you centered in your lane when lane markers are visible.

Road Sign Assist uses smart video technology to identify and alert you to the signs of the road. Stop signs, speed limits, and more are communicated to the driver to help manage ever-changing road conditions.

Toyota is leading the way in driver convenience systems. There are so many cool features offered on so many different Toyota models it would be impossible to list them all. Contact your Toyota dealer for a complete list and available options.
